Location
In Sutton Courtenay in the heart of the Oxfordshire, 10 minutes drive from Britain's oldest market town of Abingdon, and only 25 minutes from the city of Oxford. Our well appointed campsite allows you to get away from it all, or use it as a base to reach an array of local attractions.
Our site is accessed via a private laneway though open fields, with cows grazing in summer. Car parking is in the glamping field, but not alongside your tent.
There is a small woodland area to explore and this site was used for the filming of Alice in Wonderland by the BBC as it was the only site along the length of the Thames which has no evidence of human habitation for miles.
Our regular wildlife visitors are (Ken & Deirdre) a pair of munt jack deer, and their cousins the roe deer followed closely by the rabbits and foxes.
Whilst the river is home to swans, ducks, geese, a kingfisher, a heron and even a cormorant. Overhead you will be able to hear and see the red kites.
